Let’s Talk Menopause: How Samara Daly and Donna Klassen Are Transforming Menopause Care and Advocacy - Caire Beauty

Menopause affects100% of women, yet for decades it has remained one of the most misunderstood and under-resourced areas of healthcare.Let’s Talk Menopause was founded to change that—by bringing evidence-based education, advocacy, and policy reform to the forefront of women’s health.

Founded bySamara Daly andDonna Klassen, LCSW, Let’s Talk Menopause is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving menopause care, increasing public awareness, and ensuring that midlife women receive the medical attention and respect they deserve.

A Shared Mission Rooted in Experience and Advocacy

Samara Daly and Donna Klassen, LCSW, came to menopause advocacy from deeply personal and professional perspectives. Like millions of women, they saw firsthand how menopause symptoms—ranging from sleep disruption and mood changes to cognitive, cardiovascular, and metabolic effects—were often dismissed or misdiagnosed.

Donna Klassen brings decades of experience as a licensed clinical social worker, with a deep understanding of how hormonal transitions impact mental health, identity, relationships, and quality of life. Samara Daly’s background in advocacy and nonprofit leadership helped shape Let’s Talk Menopause into a trusted national voice—one that bridges medical expertise, lived experience, and policy action.

Together, they recognized a critical gap: women were navigating menopause largely alone, without adequate clinical guidance, workplace support, or legislative protections.

Changing Menopause Care Through Education, Policy, and Action

Let’s Talk Menopause works to improve menopause care on multiple fronts:

  • Education & Awareness – Providing evidence-based resources so women can better understand perimenopause and menopause and advocate for appropriate care.

  • Healthcare Access – Supporting efforts to improve provider education and increase access to menopause-informed clinicians.

  • Legislative Advocacy – Partnering with policymakers to advance menopause-related legislation at the state and national levels.

  • Workplace Equity – Promoting menopause-inclusive workplace policies that support midlife women’s health and productivity.

To date, Let’s Talk Menopause has helped support menopause legislation across multiple U.S. states—contributing to a growing movement that recognizes menopause as a critical public health issue rather than a niche concern.

Why Menopause Advocacy Matters Now

Women comprise more than half of the U.S. population, and midlife women represent one of the fastest-growing segments of the workforce. Yet menopause care has historically received minimal research funding, limited clinical training, and little public attention.

By centering menopause within broader conversations about women’s health, aging, mental health, and health equity, Let’s Talk Menopause is helping to reshape how society understands and supports women through this life stage.
